I was born in a time when lots of things shape how we live and the impact we have on the environment. A child that is lucky like me and born in the US will consume over 300 times as much stuff as a baby born in Ethiopia (86 metric tons of waste generated per person per year in the United States, read more). Yes, in this country each person contributes about 10,500 times my weight in waste every year! If the whole world lived like the average American, we would need 4 Earths to provide all the resources! Obviously that’s not possible since we have just one Earth. That’s had an impact on the way people live, the life choices they make and even fashion. I like to think of myself as a cute messenger of some of those messages

So it’s time to grab those canvas bags, start composting the kitchen waste and biking instead of driving. Green is the new black!
