This weekend, we traveled to the Asheville area in the Appalachian mountains. The mountains are rolling
and lovely places, still covered in a thick carpet of forests in most areas that receive a lot of rain. I got to meet lots of people on this trip as we went to a couple good parties, including one with hundreds of people! Mom got me dressed in red-white-and-blue and I got a lot of attention (there were hundreds of people there!). Dad helped light fireworks for an impressive showing, though I don’t understand why you all get so excited about those loud things…that was after bed time. One of the highlights of the parties was pizza making - hundreds of people made pizzas that got fired in the wood stove in the hillside (there was a monstrous blob of dough!). I gnawed on the pizza dough and most anything else I could convince Mom and Dad to give me!
